Mr. A T M Tajmilur Rahman is a distinguished banking professional with over 23 years of progressive experience in Corporate Banking, Credit Risk Management, and Strategic Business Development. He currently serves as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Local Corporate Banking at United Commercial Bank PLC, where he plays a key role in expanding the corporate portfolio, strengthening institutional client engagement, and ensuring disciplined credit governance

As a Director of UCB Investment Limited, Mr. Rahman contributes strategic oversight and industry insight, supporting the company’s growth, governance, and long-term value creation. His extensive experience in corporate finance and risk management adds significant value to the Board.

Since joining United Commercial Bank PLC in 2008, Mr. Rahman has held several pivotal leadership roles across Corporate Banking and Credit Risk Management. He also served as Head of Bancassurance Division and Chief Bancassurance Officer, where he successfully led business diversification initiatives, drove revenue growth, and enhanced cross-functional integration.

Prior to UCB, he worked at Eastern Bank and Prime Bank in Corporate Banking roles, managing complex portfolios and building long-term client relationships.

Mr. Rahman holds BSc and MSc degrees in Statistics from the University of Dhaka and a Master of Bank Management (MBM) from the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management. He has also completed advanced training programs, including specialized courses in Islamic Banking, strengthening his expertise in modern banking practices and regulatory frameworks.
