As the founding Managing Director & CEO, it has been my privilege to lead UCB Investment Limited on its journey to becoming a pioneering force in Bangladesh’s investment banking landscape. Recognized for its commitment to quality service and contributions to the country’s financial sector, UCBIL has received numerous local and international awards. Recently, it secured all five eligible awards at The Asset Triple A Awards for Sustainable Finance 2025, reaffirming its leadership in Bangladesh’s financial landscape. In 2024, UCBIL competed at the regional level across Asia Pacific and South Asia, earning recognition from FinanceAsia’s Achievement Awards in both the Best House and Best Deals categories. Additionally, as the first Bangladeshi capital market institution, UCBIL was named “Best Securities House” in Bangladesh for 2024 by Euromoney, reinforcing its position as a market leader. This recognition follows previous honors from Euromoney and FinanceAsia in 2023 and 2024, as well as from Asiamoney in 2023, which awarded UCBIL the “Best Investment Bank” in Bangladesh. UCBIL also received the Best Bond Advisory in Bangladesh award from The Asset Triple A in 2023. Notably, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) recognized UCBIL as the “Best Merchant Bank” in 2022, an outstanding achievement based on its performance in its very first year of operation.
