Mr. Nabil Mustafizur Rahman is the Additional Managing Director of United Commercial Bank PLC. With more than 31 years of experience in the financial sector, he has worked with various financial institutions, large businesses, and both international and local banks.

Before returning to UCB, Mr. Rahman served as the Country Chief Risk Officer at HBL Bangladesh. Prior to that, he held the position of Additional Managing Director at United Commercial Bank PLC, where he was responsible for Risk Management, Islamic Banking, and Transaction Banking. He also served in key roles such as Chief Risk Officer and Deputy Managing Director at BRAC Bank. Over the years, he has worked with well-known global financial institutions, including ANZ Grindlays Bank, Credit Agricole Indosuez, and HSBC. Additionally, he has held leadership roles such as Chief of Business at AB Bank and IPDC. He began his career at Beximco Group.

Mr. Rahman is an experienced leader in banking and finance. His expertise spans multiple domains, including Corporate Banking, SME Banking, Retail Banking, and Collections. He possesses in-depth knowledge of Islamic Banking and has managed large and complex project financing and structured finance transactions with both local and foreign banks. His diverse experience also extends to the retail sector.

Mr. Rahman holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka. His extensive knowledge, strategic acumen, and leadership have played a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the organizations he has been part of.
