Sami has more than 12 years of professional experience in his diversified career. Being a seasoned professional, he has experience working for bank and investment bank. Before joining UCB Investment Limited, Mr. Samiul worked as Senior Manager, Structured Finance and Corporate Banking at Eastern Bank Limited (EBL). He started his career with IDLC Finance Limited as Management Trainee in January 2012. Later he joined EBL in a senior role. He used to work on Structured Finance and Syndication deals in both organizations and has vast knowledge and experience in deal structuring, client management, fundraising, stakeholder communication as well as loan documentation, monitoring and agency function. He is also well equipped to work with special fund and sustainable finance from Bangladesh Bank and other sources, DFI funding and other avenues of foreign funding. With his extensive expertise, he contributes to the significant business growth and deal execution of UCB Investment Limited.

He completed his MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. Before that, he obtained his Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Besides, He has completed numerous trainings on financial analysis, ECA financing, project finance, financial modeling, project management, Islamic Bond (Sukuk), etc.
